Since the end of the U.S election, Republicans and Democrats, politicians and pundits alike have generally agreed on one thing: the deciding factors among voters boil down to moral issues. Among those taking credit for the Bush victory are the many groups of the American ‘religious right’.

The real irony, however, is that advertising – in its current form, at least—is not only an annoyance, but a costly hindrance to market efficiency.
